New South Wales
You have finally arrived in New South Wales in south-eastern Australia. I hope you don’t have jet leg because there is a lot to see. New South Wales has about 6,200,000 people living here. Did you know that the people living here are 17 hours ahead of us? Pretty weird! People’s lives here are very similar to American lives: same fashion, same homes, and same basically same everyday lives |
The capital of New South Wales is Sydney. Sydney is the largest city in Australia and also the most well known by people all over the world. Sydney is described by many to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. In a recent popular movie, “Finding Nemo,” Sydney was the main city in that movie. The Summer Olympics of the year 2000 also took place in this beautiful city. Probably the most famous feature of Sydney and an overall symbol of Australia is the Sydney Opera House, pictured to the left.
