Queensland
Welcome to beautiful Queensland, Australia’s “Sunshine State!” Many people compare Queensland to the United States’ Florida because the weather is similar and both are very popular vacation spots. Queensland is a territory located in the north-eastern area of Australia with a population of about 3,774,292 people. People of Queensland are described as friendly, easy-going, and laid back. The capital of this territory is Brisbane, the third largest city in all of Australia. |
The landscapes of Queensland allow for the people living there, as well as visitors, explore many different things. The Great Barrier Reef (located in tour 1) is located right off the shore of Queensland and a famous spot to visit. The coasts and beaches are classified as some of the best beaches in the world and tie into Australia’s beach culture. Tropical rainforests are found all over the area as well as Australia’s famous outback. In the Queensland outback there is still evidence from ancient dinosaur herds.

Popular activities for Queenslanders are surfing, scuba diving, sailing, soccer, and, an unusual past time, camel racing.
