Northern Territory
Good morning, mate. You have arrived in the Northern Territory of Australia, capital city of Darwin. The territory covers about one sixth of the Australian continent that is equal to the combined areas of France, Spain, and Italy. There are two regions: The Top End and Central Australia. We will be adventuring The Top End Region. Darwin is home to approximately 79,000 people. Devastated by Cyclone Tracy at 3am on Christmas Day in 1974, it has now been rebuilt into a modern, multi-cultural city. There are 70 different racial and cultural backgrounds. |
Isolated from other states, the Northern Territory is famous for their unique lifestyle. It has an easy-going atmosphere and cosmopolitan lifestyle. Multicultural mix is reflected in the food available at a variety of restaurants and open-air markets. Enjoy breakfast in the city, our next destination is Kakadu National Park.
